Lifelong Grace

Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be. Deuternomy 33.25

This blessing, given by Moses to the tribe of Asher (whose name means happy), is upon all the children of God. However long the days of your life, you shall have sufficient grace to believe God. Your faith, founded upon the gospel of God's grace and secured in Jesus Christ, shall be like shoes made of iron and brass - it shall never wear out. Despite the difficulties of the way, despite the many failings and fallings you experience, despite the many doubts that arise in your heart concerning your strength to hold on and hold out until the day of Christ, you shall persevere, for grace shall continually flow from the throne of God to strengthen your inner man. That which feels so frail to you shall prove to be as strong as iron by the grace of God, and you shall prevail in His strength. And with this blessing to sustain you, you always have cause to be "Asher" - happy!
